It’s been a while since saying anything, but most excitedly PocketRent is doing very well – we’ve got a fantastic product and great users who give us the best feedback.
I’ve been with PocketRent (almost) since inception in 2010, and it’s come along in leaps and bounds, expanding into a very comprehensive property management system. There’s an iPhone app (of course), and stunningly simple Xero integration to keep your finances in check.
All in all, go check it out – it’s free for a month, and free forever if you’ve only got one property. Use my promo code “marksfreebie” to get that extended to a 3 month trial!

I’m a bit late to the party, but having set up a ‘Web App’ in about half an hour yesterday is magic. Really magic.
Thanks to Apple Developer Connection for the tutorial, and of course A List Apart. Now it’s a matter of putting into practice that idea I’ve had for the last year or so…

At a free concert by Rhombus at Te Papa yesterday, only just noticed the fantastic colour scheme used. So natural, fantastic earthy colours but bright and expansive…
Anyone know who designed it? Beautiful…

There’s some great things in the works, none of which I can say anything about, but they’ll be great.
In the meantime, I’m readying myself the best I can so I can be the best I can for my clients. It’s really all about the experience, and my aim is to make it as easy and straightforward to get their brands & online communications as amazing as they can be.

I’m starting off on some great projects including a website for an organics store in Hastings, a site to facilitate drug trials, one for a beautiful holiday house in Ngawi, and a great new brand overhall as well as website for a circus pedagogy group in Slovenia!
Needless to say it’s all go, though I’d love to sink my teeth into more… Contact me for more information on how we can make your next or new project shine through simple and easy design (both for you and your users)!

Here’s a buyer’s guide which should be a read for anyone approaching logo design.
I agree with this article, especially since logo design is business goal and marketing driven. Many people will be able to give you a beautiful logo I’m sure (and that’s a big part of it no doubt), but to have a truly successful logo it needs to communicate the business from the get-go.
